Trump shakes the market again
Is this, beneath the surface, another chapter in Tesla's ongoing telenovela?
Yesterday the market suffered a strong shock with sharp declines: the Nasdaq plunged by over 2%, the S&P 500 fell by over 1%
The reason? A 'surprising' announcement from Trump that he would soon declare new tariffs on vehicles
When Trump was asked about the sharp declines, he first asked 'when did that happen?'
Then he responded calmly: 'It can take care of itself.'
Trump is not bothered by what happened yesterday, not at all
After the market close, Trump announced new tariffs of 25% on all vehicles imported into the US!
Trump's goal is clear: to pressure car manufacturers and force them to move production to the US.
He spoke about this yesterday, saying he would turn the US into an automotive manufacturing powerhouse.
The effect was immediate: Ford (F) and General Motors (GM) suffered painful declines of about 5% after hours – because they rely on imported production from outside the US.
But here's the twist:
- There is one company in America that already produces 100% of its models sold in the US – within the US.
And act surprised, its name is Tesla.
So what's actually happening here?
Did Trump just give Elon Musk a huge gift?
Is this a timed move to give Tesla a massive competitive advantage?
Or is this simply an aggressive economic policy by Trump – which coincidentally benefits Musk?
Is this a response to the struggles happening beneath the surface against Tesla?
While the new tariffs severely harm Tesla's competitors, Tesla emerges completely clean!
- Something here feels like a sophisticated maneuver...
The question is – is this political genius or simply luck?
If you're on the channel, you probably already know the answer to that...
What do you think? Did Trump just save Tesla or is it just a coincidence?
Coincidence
Saved Musk's ass
