The Nasdaq jumps 50%: what does history teach us now?

In the past week, the Nasdaq marked a rare event:

A 50% rise from its recent low, without a 20% decline along the way!

This is a very rare event...

- And every time it happened in the past, statistically, it signaled a significant period of continued market strength.

What do historical data show?

- According to research by Nautilus Investment Research, only 12 similar events have occurred since 1971.

Each time the Nasdaq recorded a 50% jump without a 20% correction, forward returns were examined: for one week, one month, three months, six months, and one year.

And the results?

Particularly impressive: One week - an average return of 0.41% with an accuracy rate of 64%.

3 months - an average return of +6.93% with an accuracy rate of 89%.

6 months - an average return of +13.60% with an accuracy rate of 98%.

One year forward - with an average return of no less than +25.80% and a rare accuracy rate of 96%.

The $SPX (S&P 500) index also benefited from a positive effect, with an average return of +14.7% in the following year.

So what is the strategic implication? Historically, when the Nasdaq shows such strength, it is a bullish indicator.

Investors are often fearful at peak rallies, but according to past data, momentum tends to continue.

The fact that the last event was recorded on October 6, 2025, suggests that we may only be in the middle of a broad uptrend, not at its end.

A market that has risen 50% without a significant correction indicates strong demand, growing confidence, and increasing bullish sentiment.

Of course, there's no certainty that history will repeat itself exactly, but when 94% of past cases ended in profit six months later...

It's hard to ignore the statistics.

And if history is a guide, then the Nasdaq is signaling: has the bull not yet had its final say?

Could the bullish trend perhaps continue?
