We see so many posts like 'the momentum is still bearish' or 'the declines are not over yet'
These are the doomsaying 'bears', those who always know the market is going to fall
But they forget, or simply don't notice, how much the market is rising..
What does it actually mean to be a bear
Imagine you are standing on the sidelines.
Arms crossed.
You are skeptical.
On the other hand, the stock market is once again soaring like a rocket,
And you? Just muttering 'this isn't real', 'it's temporary', 'it's sure to crash', 'this isn't a momentum shift', 'the VIX is still high'...
Meanwhile? The Nasdaq 100 has already risen 12.3% The S&P 500 has already climbed 10%
This is an average annual return for the indices in less than a month
And the stocks of the most innovative companies?
They are simply soaring like a startup on IPO day:
Returns from the bottom on April 4: $RKLB – 33%+ $VRT – 41%+ $ASTS – 18%+ $SMR – 31%+ $PLTR – 45%+ $APH – 28%+ $NBIS – 21%+ $FN – 16%+ $ARM – 30%+ $ANET – 17%+ $TTD – 17%+ $AVGO – 29%+ $ACHR – 39%+ $MU – 20%+ $APP – 22%+ $KKR – 22%+
Whoever bought at the bottom has already achieved a two-year return relative to the indices
So what does it actually mean to be a bear?
It means you are waiting for the 'big sale', while the market is celebrating.
It means you are sure everything is a 'bubble', while money is flowing in the opposite direction.
It means you are losing, not because you made a mistake in your analysis, but because you simply weren't there.
The bullish investor doesn't tell themselves the market will rise today or tomorrow, they work according to a plan, and when the market rises, they reap the rewards and don't miss the train
