🔥 A little background on the urgent bill: 🔥
Two giant Chinese companies offer "genetic sequencing" for a fee to anyone willing to pay for it - all over the world. 💵 (Including North Korea, Iran, Russia - and others)
Over the past few years, these two companies have built a huge genetic sequencing database containing data from tens of millions of people in the West (yes, including Israel - and the US). ☝️
The Chinese government, it turns out - eagerly consumes this data directly from the Chinese companies that tempt you and the West to buy many goods from them at a tenth of the price. 🇨🇳 (Heard of Temu and others? - When you get a product at a tempting discount from China - it turns out - you are the product! 🤌)
This caused Americans to have a fatal panic attack! 🔴
For 2 reasons - the small reason - minor competitive reasons, but let's dive into the bigger reason - the one that sent Americans into a panic - and rightly so. 👻
The reason - that might worry me - and you too:
Imagine - that by order, for a large payment - the Chinese government builds a smart biological bomb for Iran that only kills people with a genetic background characteristic of Jews...? 🤝
Wait... wait... wait... WTF, what did you say??? Should we start packing??? 👁
Well, as of this writing, it's not there yet - but from the Chinese government's perspective, you can be sure they are working with great determination and vigor on building a game-changing biological weapon with genetic targeting. ☝️
And beyond this apocalypse - there is the Chinese company - WUXI... - let's make a small introduction: ⬅️
This giant Chinese company conducts outsourced clinical trials for Western companies (and of course - the Chinese government). 🇨🇳
In fact, about 16% of clinical trials worldwide are performed by none other than WUXI! 💵
And what about the "confidential" results of these trials?
You guessed it - directly into the hands of the Chinese government - "everything stays in the family." 🇨🇳
The same government that doesn't shy away from stealing IP, intelligence, and anything else in its path - and recently announced a five-year plan to turn China into a biotechnology superpower - with an emphasis on the offensive front. 🤌

The new American law - which passed with much panic and discomfort from both sides of the parties - prohibits companies with government funding from doing business with genetic sequencing companies and WUXI. 🤝
This will, of course, slow down the determined Chinese a bit - but it will not stop them at all on their way to the desired goal. 😈
Meanwhile - in Israel, the establishment of a follow-up committee on the matter has already been announced, composed of various security officials, university research institutes, and senior figures from the biotech industry.
They will probably soon pass a similar, or stricter, law.
