A tense morning in the markets – the technology arena is burning! 🤹

Nvidia takes a hit, ASML signals caution, and Trump? Again ignites a new front against China. 💥

Nvidia – a morning with a missile and an afternoon with a hammer 🤸 After what seemed in the morning like another boost for Nvidia's stock when Trump announced he would expedite all procedures for the company – the American government came and put a huge brake on it:

The administration banned the company from selling its H20 chips to China, citing national security concerns.

The result? 🩸

A direct hit of approximately $5.5 billion in expected revenue for the upcoming quarter! 💵

Yesterday morning, investors were still celebrating – perhaps due to rumors and volatility – but after the close? An aggressive, unsedated analysis awaits.🔽

ASML | Earnings report – half full, but what's at the bottom? 🔖

ASML, the Dutch heart of the chip industry, published its first-quarter results:

Revenue? Almost as forecast – €7.74 billion. ✔️ Gross margin? Even better than expected – 54%! ✔️

But then came the big shadow – reserves of only €3.94 billion compared to an expectation of €4.82 billion.❌

And the market? Doesn't like it when the future is less clear.🚩

The company maintained its annual revenue guidance of €30–35 billion, but warned of increasing weakness in the chip sector and dangerous uncertainty regarding tariffs.🚨

Even as AI continues to lead the industry – there are more questions than answers.

And the word we all hate is back in the game: caution. ⚠️

The trade war | Trump doesn't calm down ☠️ After the US exempted some technology products from a 125% tariff, Trump is stepping up: 245% import tariffs on products from China – a move that could shake the entire global supply chain.🔪

Meanwhile, Hong Kong announced it is suspending postal service to the US for commercial products.🖕

If anyone thought the war between the superpowers had calmed down – today we received clear proof that this is just the tip of the iceberg.👻

Today we receive another strong reminder that the worlds of technology and politics not only intersect – they are intertwined like barbed wire. 🐦‍⬛️

Nvidia is directly affected by restrictions, ASML remains calm but signals clouds on the horizon.. ⛈

And Trump?

Pushing tensions to new heights.🚩

Investors must keep their finger on the pulse, because what happened overnight – will affect today and the rest of the week. 👀
