Quick update on what is currently happening in the Middle East
This morning it was reported that Iran submitted its response to the American proposal through Pakistani mediators
Minutes later, Iran's president published a statement on the X network:
"We will never kneel before the enemy, and if there is talk of dialogue or negotiation, it does not mean surrender or retreat. On the contrary, the goal is to preserve the rights of the Iranian people and protect national interests with determined strength." Towards evening, it was reported that the Iranians completely rejected the American proposal regarding the Iranian nuclear program – meaning they are not giving up their nuclear program.
In fact, according to publications from the last few minutes, the entire Iranian document deals with Iran's right to hold the Strait of Hormuz as a "key to security" and other nonsense.
In response, Trump posted on his social network that he read the Iranian response "and he doesn't like it"
Weekend contracts shifted from gains of about 0.2% to declines of 0.3%
Meanwhile, Americans are preparing for a historic visit by Trump, who is expected to arrive in China this coming Wednesday for a meeting with the Chinese president.
The big question is whether Trump will actually do something on the Iranian front while he meets with the Chinese president?
Personally, it's hard for us to see that happening – but this is Trump, anything can happen..
Follow closely – with Trump, events develop at tremendous speed
