$ONDS beats Wall Street estimates and rises about 15% in pre-market trading
Note the excellent figures:
Revenue and profitability. The company's revenue reached $50.1 million, a growth of 1,065% compared to the same quarter last year when revenue was only $4.3 million, and beats the preliminary estimate of $39 million.
Gross profit stood at $24.7 million, the gross margin increased to 49%, a significant improvement compared to 35% last year.
Regarding the operating line, the company recorded an operating loss of $42.7 million, which is an increase compared to last year.
But net income stood at $361.2 million, a very sharp shift to profitability compared to the loss recorded in the same quarter.
Also in adjusted EBITDA, which measures profit from ongoing operations excluding one-time expenses and taxes, a loss of about $11 million was recorded, but this is still much better than the original guidance which projected a loss of $20 million.
Outlook for the future. The company's management feels very confident and decided to raise the annual guidance for 2026, and now expects annual revenue of at least $390 million.
In addition, the company's OAS division is expected to become profitable as early as the beginning of 2027, and the entire company is expected to reach adjusted EBITDA profitability by Q1 2028.
Additional important points. Jump in order backlog: The number of signed and pending orders jumped to $457 million, a huge growth compared to the end of 2025.
Full cash reserves: After issuing shares in January, the company holds approximately $1.5 billion in cash, which gives it a lot of breathing room and the ability to continue investing in growth.
Accelerated targets: The company's product division managed to reach profitability six months earlier than expected, which is an excellent sign of good management.
Aggressive acquisitions: The company acquired many companies in the defense and technology sectors such as Mistral and World View, which helps it rapidly expand its operations.
Collaboration with Palantir: They are working together on integrating artificial intelligence systems into defense systems and military robotics.
Global demand: There is currently enormous global demand for anti-drone and border security solutions, and this may continue to drive the company forward in the future.
The company's management concludes that this quarter is their best ever, they managed to increase revenue tenfold in a very short time and achieved record results.
