Note this exciting development - China's Cybersecurity Association is asking the Chinese government to investigate Intel and its sales in the country on suspicion that these serve as cover for a widespread espionage arm of the American intelligence service operating in China.
If this proves true, many American companies that manufacture in China and have a significant and colorful reputation in the Chinese landscape will be under Chinese scrutiny or, worse, on China's blacklist.
As you may recall, Intel recently received billions in defense contracts from the American government - and I wonder - is this the compensation Intel allegedly received in exchange for serving as a 'cover story' for the American intelligence arm through its extensive operations in China?
Such espionage tricks occur without limits and constantly between many countries - even our tiny country, Israel - operated 'shell companies' - in the beating heart of its number 1 friend - the USA - in the heart of California.
These companies served us for security needs and intelligence gathering - in these affairs, Israeli billionaires star alongside the top echelons of Israel's intelligence personnel.
Not everything is known to the public - but it's easy to create a blockbuster Hollywood script from the exploits of our small country.
And if we did similar things in the home turf of our number 1 friend in the world...
Then all the more so, the world's number 1 intelligence wizard - the USA - will not shy away from any means to achieve its goals, however big or small they may be!
As someone who knows a little about the world of intelligence - I have come to know a world devoid of any emotion, precedent, restraint, or morality that can even be conceived.
For us, the general public, Intel is a technology company that produces a variety of components worth many tens of billions - in the world of intelligence, companies like Intel are just another tool in the toolbox for American intelligence operatives whose hearts desire to achieve one goal or another.
Therefore - I would not be surprised at all to hear if the USA allegedly spied in a country that poses as its number 1 threat - namely China - even if by using Intel as a cover story to achieve one goal or another.
This is a super interesting affair that is recommended to follow - especially its implications - I will continue to update on developments.
