An interesting series of events in recent days at Ondas, the defense drone company,
Most of you have probably heard that yesterday the outgoing Mossad head, David Barnea, joined Ondas in the role of no less than president and chairman of the company.
David brings decades of national security leadership and advanced technological experience to support the company's global expansion, as well as a wealth of additional values...
He will work closely with Ondas CEO Eric Brock to advance the company's strategy and operations worldwide.
But here's some more interesting information you probably haven't heard:
Ondas recruited two more talented individuals from the Israeli defense sector last week:
1. Dolev Arbiter - geographic information systems expert
Dolev served 18 years as an operational officer in the IDF as part of the 'Sky Rider' unit, a special unit specializing in operating tactical aircraft.
2. Paul Friedberg - new vice president of business development
Friedberg worked for over 20 years in various roles at the Ministry of Defense,
His last role was senior vice president at SIBAT,
SIBAT is the International Defense Cooperation Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, responsible for promoting defense exports, managing inter-governmental defense agreements, and serving as the gateway to Israel's defense industry.
Now, let's move to the institutional investors' arena: here are several interesting events that occurred recently at Ondas:
1. BlackRock has just disclosed that it holds 38,129,865 shares of $ONDS, which effectively makes it an owner of over 7% of all of Ondas.
For context, in the previous quarter, BlackRock held 2,156,502 shares, which is a 1,668% increase in its holding.
2. The well-known investment firm Oppenheimer also tripled its holding in $ONDS to 986,130 shares, an increase of 638,496 shares from the previous quarter.
