Good morning everyone - a quick update ▶️
Overnight and this morning - a very significant escalation in the Middle East 🚨
The Iranians launched barrages of missiles towards Israel - which responded by attacking the Iranian fuel industry 💥
The substantial escalation occurring this morning actually comes from the Yemenis ⚠️
The Houthis announced they are joining the conflict,
According to an official update from the Houthis, they participated in the missile fire towards Israel,
But most importantly - the Houthis are announcing the closure of the Red Sea for all Israeli ships ⛔️
Attached is the official statement from the Houthis:
Against the invasion carried out by the US and Zionist forces against the axis of jihad and resistance in Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen, and a refusal of the Zionist plan to build "Greater Israel" under the name "New Middle East", and as part of efforts to break the unjust siege and oppression imposed by US enemies on our people and on the free and honorable peoples of Lebanon, Gaza, and Iran, and in accordance with the unity of the front and the principles of confronting the common enemy, and in response to the Zionist invasion against Lebanon, Iran, and Gaza,
Yemeni forces carried out massive missile fire towards sensitive targets of the Israeli enemy in the occupied Jaffa area, and the attack accurately hit its targets.
In this context, Yemeni forces declare the following:
First: We declare a complete and full prohibition on Israeli shipping movement in the Red Sea, and immediately upon the publication of this statement, any maritime activity of the enemy will be considered a legitimate military target for our forces.
Second: We confirm that we will respond to the enemy's expansion with greater escalation. Our military operations will be strengthened in accordance with changes in the battlefield situation, combat patterns, and cooperation with the axis of jihad and resistance.
Third: We affirm the right of our people and the free Arab and Islamic peoples to fight against the invasion of the US and Israel.
We will never tolerate the unjust siege imposed on the axis of jihad and resistance in Palestine, Gaza, Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq, and on our people. Any attempt by the enemy will fail by the will of Allah, and as long as the invasion and siege against us and against the axis of jihad and resistance continue, our operations will also continue.

Statement from Yemeni forces, and meanwhile it seems this escalation is not close to ending - reports from the last few minutes coming out of Iran confirm the news that Iran has closed its airspace,
while reports from Israel claim that Israel is preparing a comprehensive attack plan for infrastructure in Iran. 🚩
And back to Wall Street - the arena is very quiet 🕯
Futures are not trading down! ❌
S&P500 futures are trading unchanged 🟢
The Nasdaq is up about 0.2% 🟢
The Russell is down about 0.10% 🟢
The big question is - is this the calm before the storm? 📡
Or is it that after last week's sharp declines (the Nasdaq 100 is more than 6% off its all-time high),
investors are telling themselves,
let's see how things develop; after all, the AI revolution is at its peak, prices might have become a bit more attractive again, and investors aren't exactly panicking over a recurring escalation scenario. 🚀
Investors are waiting to see Trump's reaction - who reiterated overnight that we are very close to a deal....
The real question, is this President Trump's plan? ☢️
Trump has proven he wants the deal at any cost - perhaps the way to launch a renewed attack passes through Lebanon and Israel? 🇮🇱
We will wait to see the developments 📡
