2️⃣ Starcloud - Starcloud (Y Combinator) 🔣 A car-sized data center housing NVIDIA H100s. 🔣 Already raised $10M. 🔣 Goal: to process satellite images in space itself.
3️⃣ SpaceX Orbital Data Centers 🔣 Musk: "Starlink + computing = global cloud with 0 latency". 🔣 Using Cargo Dragon to transport servers.
4️⃣ Axiom Space + Red Hat 🔣 Two data center nodes on the ISS – already by 2025! 🔣 Radiation-hardened drives, direct connection to satellites.

So why is there such a great effort to establish computing centers in space? ❓
The answer is quite simple..
Because data centers on Earth = 2% of global electricity consumption
