The management team at $BMI on an insider buying spree?

Listen to this story

Badger Meter is a global leader in water solutions.

It specializes in flow measurement technologies, water quality control, and communication solutions: its main clients are municipal water utilities and industries.

The company is at the center of a global shift towards smart metering systems, many cities are upgrading infrastructure to prevent leaks and manage water resources digitally.

The US government allocates infrastructure budgets for water projects, and $BMI also benefits from these budgets.

On January 26, after the company reported its quarterly results, the stock price fell by about 10% after the company missed estimates on both revenue and earnings per share.

This completed a decline of about 45% from its recent all-time high

A few days later, we identified that the company's management began purchasing shares.

In fact, we have so far identified three executives who bought shares.

Kenneth Bockhorst, Chairman, President, and CEO

Kenneth bought shares worth $500,000 the day before yesterday.

Richard Hettich, Vice President, Global Operations

Richard was the first to buy shares on February 5, also for about $500,000.

Robert Wrocklage, Senior Vice President, North American Municipal Infrastructure

He bought shares worth about $250,000 earlier this week.

The total purchases amount to about $1,250,000.

Additionally, we identified that UBS bank increased its holdings in the stock by almost 90%.
