Amazon's investment portfolio update: highlights for the last quarter of 2025

Amazon published its updated holdings details for the end of 2025, and the portfolio movements indicate interesting trend changes in the tech giant's investment strategy.

New entries: emphasis on growth and technology

Significant investment in $BETA: Amazon opened a new and large position in BETA, amounting to approximately $332 million.

When a company like Amazon invests such an amount, it is a signal of high confidence in the company's business potential and a desire to deepen strategic ties with it.

Return to $IONQ: an interesting move was recorded concerning IONQ, a company involved in quantum computing; after Amazon completely exited its investment in it during Q3 2025, it chose to return and hold its stocks in the current quarter.

Although it is a relatively modest position of $300,000, the quick return perhaps suggests a re-evaluation of the technological value the company generates.

Exits from the portfolio: clearing the deck. Alongside the new acquisitions, Amazon chose to completely liquidate its holdings in several companies.

This means the company sold all the shares it held and no longer owns them: $VITL (Vital Farms)

$SMRT (SmartRent)

$OWLT (Owlet)
